About me

I’ve been working in mental health and therapy services for over ten years, and feel very lucky to be doing work that I love.

I’ve provided counselling in the NHS, charities and in private practice, and have been accredited by the BACP for a number of years.

I am also an approved Mental Health First Aid instructor and have experience as a Samaritans volunteer.

I’ve lived in Sheffield for over 30 years, first coming to to study Psychology and putting down strong and happy roots. I love Sheffield’s parks and hills and how close we are to the Peaks. I have a longstanding interest in Buddhism and a regular mindfulness practice, which help me appreciate the little things and cope with the big ones.

I have the following

~ Accreditation with the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

~ Psychology BSc, Diploma HE in Counselling

~ Enhanced DBS check (criminal record check)

~ Regular clinical supervision and training
